Un diputado de la región de Embakasi, Mugabe Were, del Movimiento Democrático Naranja, ODM, fue asesinado a tiros a sangre fría, el día 28, al llegar a su casa. El guardia de la residencia y la familia del parlamentario le trasladaron urgentemente al hospital, pero Were ya ingresó cadáver.
La policía ha declarado que aceptan cualquier tipo de colaboración en su investigación, o cualquier investigación paralela, para detener a los culpables.
