El ejército de Sudan del Sur dice haber tomado de nuevo la ciudad petrolera de Bentiu, de manos de los rebeldes.

El ejército de Sudan Sur ha tomado hoy viernes la ciudad petrolera de Bentiu, al norte del país, ha declarado el representante del gobierno.“Bentiu está bajo nuestro control” ha afirmado Ateny Wek Ateny: representante del presidente.

Alastair Leithead, de la BBC, dice que miles de personas han abandonado la ciudad, y que la ciudad de Bentiu está en manos del gobierno.

Las conversaciones de paz que tenían lugar en Etiopia, se han paralizado. Esta nueva situación puede favorecer una nueva ronda de negociaciones.

Un representante de la ONU afirma que unas 250.000 personas han abandonado sus hogares.
Unos 2.000 refugiados huyen cada día hacia Uganda.
